Is this just another AI gizmo?
No. AI is the engine that powers it, but the expertise that went into building it comes from real CTO experience. The platform has been trained on curated playbooks, templates, and frameworks drawn from 20+ years of startup and scale-up leadership, not scraped from an ever-shifting base of untested internet content. Can I chat to it like other AI tools?

Do you integrate with tools like Slack, JIRA, or Notion?
You can already export outputs into JIRA, Notion, or decks. Slack and other integrations are coming soon.

Not at all. It’s built for non-technical founders as well as developers who are being asked to be more strategic. The whole point is to remove jargon, provide actionable frameworks, and give you confidence in your decisions. We wouldn’t recommend for anyone below senior developer level – our advice works best when you are already leading delivery.
What stage of business is this designed for?

PRICING & PLANS
What happens if I go over my email query limit?
We’ll let you know and suggest the best upgrade option. You’ll never be cut off mid-conversation.
Is there a free trial?
No - but here’s why. CYP is designed to save you thousands in wasted time, rebuilds, and missed investor opportunities. To keep the service sustainable, we ask for a 6-month subscription commitment up front. Most users find the value far outweighs the cost within the first few weeks.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription at any time?
The minimum subscription is for six months. Thereafter you can pause or cancel anytime from your account dashboard.
Are there additional costs beyond the monthly fee?
No hidden costs. The only extras are optional standalone checks (e.g. Security Health Check) if you want them outside of your plan.
Can I upgrade / downgrade before my initial subscription period is up?
You can upgrade your plan within the initial 6-month subscription period, but you cannot downgrade.
How do I pay?
We are currently manually onboarding all subscribers as part of a dedicated programme of client research and product development. Secure payment will be taken via Stripe during your onboarding. In the future, payment will be made direct via the website.
PRIVACY & SECURITY
Where is my data stored, and who sees it?
All data is stored securely in the UK. We do monitor usage of the platform, but to improve performance and its usefulness. Only authorised CTOs see your queries when you escalate them.
Is my data used to train the AI?
No. Your data is only used to answer your questions, never to train external models.
Is this safe for proprietary or sensitive information?
Yes. We operate under UK GDPR compliance standards. Sensitive inputs are filtered and handled with enterprise-grade security. Data deletion is available on request.
Do investors recognise or trust this kind of tool?
Yes. Investors increasingly expect founders to demonstrate technical governance. Using CYP shows you’re taking these decisions seriously, and, if you follow the advice given, will help you build a clear, robust scalable product story to take to them.
